 The
Uttarakhand Bio-fuel board is an
autonomous body registered under
society registration act, 1980
headed by a senior I.F.S
Officer, Mrs. Veena Sekhri,
Additional Principal Conservator
of Forest (Projects) Dehradun
and recognized as a Nodal Agency
for plantation of bio fuel
species like Jatropha Curcas.
The Board is relentlessly
working to produce sustainable
source of livelihood for rural
and marginally backward society.

Uttarakhand
Government, in consonance with
the Bio Fuel Mission of Planning
Commission, Government of India,
has undertaken an ambitious
scheme of planting Jatropha
Curcas in an area of two lakh
hectares.
